It is so difficult to find the right words to thank all the people of Black River-Matheson and beyond who have given my wife and I so much love, concern , support and prayers during these very trying times. “Thank you” seems so inadequate, but in reality it is the only words that make the most sense to us at this time. Thank you all so much!
We also have received hundreds of phone calls, email’s, cards mailed to us and sincere posts to this blog. We really want to thank the people who also took the time to visit with us in demonstrating their support.
It has all been so rewarding and for this reason I have not yet handed in my final, written resignation as Mayor.
Regards, Mike & Sylvia Milinkovich

In my opinion, you are one of the best things that has happened to BRM in such a long time. The support that you show to all of the events and people that are in this township is overwhelming and like a breath of fresh air. I was very happy to read that you haven’t handed in a written resignation. Thanks for everything that you have done for us. I know that there are many others that appreciate all of your efforts.

Hi Mike: good to hear you have not handed in your official resignation. If we are to go ahead in Black River- Matheson we need someone like you to lead us. Many others think the same way or you would not have been elected. You are the man for the job! Should you choose to resign I fully understand and support your decision, as I know you can’t do it alone, and no one should expect you to work under the present conditions. Many people are praying for you as you make your decision. Either way you are appreciated.
Sincerely, Rev. Norma Teigen

I am not surprized of the support you have received from members of the community who supported you as you have indicated in your thankyou note. You have been the most visual Mayor who has publically demonstrated his passion for the community in a long time. I was disappointed that you were forced to go public with your concerns and I am sure in a heat of passion resign verbally at a closed meeting. I don”t envey your decision but I am sure you will make the best one for yourself.

I believe Black River Matheson should have a meeting with all citizens and council. We need to be able to have our questions answered. Someone needs to be made accountable for what has happeded. I don’t know about anyone else but I don’t have much information on what actually happened so it would be nice to know. Mike was elected, he is what the people of Black River Matheson want to lead us. Council needs to work with him!! not against him!!
